Nest Doorbell (battery) history keeps disappearing

OzzieMart

I have a nest doorbell (battery) which is hard wired to doorbell power to save me charging it every week. For a couple of days or so it behaves normal, issuing notifications and I’m able to see history over the past few days (I do not have a nest subscription). Then one day all of the event history and recordings disappear when I check in the morning. Not just history beyond 7 days (history provided without subscription), but everything including the most recent events! Then the cycle repeats…

What could be causing this? I’ve seen an older post where someone’s history mysteriously disappeared but only suggestion was they may have accidentally deleted it via the app. I’m using the iOS Google home app and definitely haven’t been deleting history each time this happens!

@OzzieMart

If you do not have a Nest Aware subscription, then all you get is event video history for events detected and recorded in the most recent 3 hours:

I don't know what could explain the behavior you're describing. Did you by any chance have a 30-day free trial Nest Aware subscription that has now expired?

That explains it! Yes I previously had the trial, but thought that had ended a while ago. Also, when I read about the 3 hours of recording time n the product description I took this to be 3 hours worth of recording rather than most recent 3 hours. That’s not a lot of time if you want to look back on events that occurred while you were sleeping! Can’t justify the subscription just for that though…

Thanks for clarifying though
