@Rodd3r5

If your back door light has a standard electrical box mounted on the wall, you should be able to do so. You could look at the installation video to get a clearer visual idea of what's involved in the installation: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/11003780

However, you might also want to browse posts about the floodlight camera in this forum, to get an idea of what issues other customers are encountering.

Will this camera work with the nest app & is it 24/7 video recording???

It's only event recording. you need a cloud subscription. and yes it will wire up to your out door light wires. you will need an electrician.

@Galant56K

You should be able to get 24/7 recording with a Nest Aware Plus subscription. We have the battery camera (plugged in), which is the same camera used in the floodlight camera package, and we have 24/7 recording with a Nest Aware Plus subscription.

Hey everyone,

@Rodd3r5, how's it going with your Nest Camera? Were you able to read the information and check the link that MPL has shared? In case you have an update, you know where to find us.

I appreciate the help, MplsCustomer and Galant56K.

Best,
