Nest Doorbell wired 2nd - Germany

Hi,

I try to figure out, if the new Doorbell 2 wired will work in germany if I import it from USA. (since it is still not available in Europe)

Hardware wise it should work since my chime transformer deliver up to 24V and 60VA.

But I don‘t know, if I can add the Doorbell in the Home App on a german phone and start a Nest aware subscription.

Can you help me here?

Technically the device will work, but I am unsure if the subscription will work.

I would not take the risk if I am being honest, if you depend on the subscription that is. 🙄

@CK84, thanks for trying. The Nest Aware subscription is available in Germany.

Check out this link to verify if Google devices and services are available in your country.

I just recognized that I could add the new doorbell in my german Google Home App. Interestingly the "old" Nest Hello isn't selectable by standard. 

Has somebody in Europe tried it out?

I will try it out and ordered a nest doorbell in US.
However the test of the doorbell will not take place before 18th of July. If it is working I try to give feedback here.

@Scamm0r, I appreciate your interest in our Nest Doorbell. However, you definitely should not use a device that was not purchased in your country or region, as the Nest Doorbell will not function the same, nor would the cloud services work if you purchased the doorbell in the US and are taking it to the UK.
