I have a Nest floodlight cam mounted on the side of my house. Today, several cars showed up at the neighbor's house that I didn't recognize. Shouldn't I be able to make out the license plates? I tried zooming in, but that didn't help. It's just a blurry mess.

In our experience, Google Nest cameras are not going to make out a license plate number at that distance or anything close to that distance.

What’s the maximum distance that license plates are recognizable?

Hello folks,
@RavenManiac, thanks for reaching out here in the Community. While we don't have the information about the maximum distance where you can recognise a license plate, the field of view of the Nest Camera with floodlights is 130° diagonal and the single motion sensor is 110° horizontal field of view up to 25 ft (7.5 m) and the floodlights has 2 motion sensors with 180° horizontal field of view Up to 25 ft (7.5 m).

I appreciate the help, MplsCustomer.
