Nest Gen 1 wired Camera failed migration to Google Home App and now "lost"

I recently migrated a Nest outdoor camera (Gen 1, wired) from Nest app to Google Home App.  The app stated it migrated successfully, but the camera does not show up on the Google Home App.  I tried to add/ reinstall the camera on both the Nest and Google Home apps, but without any success.  When I add the camera in the Nest App, it tells me it migrated to Google App, so the installation process stops.  When I go to Google Home app, and to try to add the camera, it does not recongize the camera (identification code on the camera).  It's like the camera is in a blackhole between the Nest and Google Home App.  Any suggestions on how to fix?

Hello folks,

Thank you so much for posting in this community. I understand that you recently migrated your Nest Cam Outdoor from the Nest app to the Google Home app. This process was performed successfully; however, the camera still doesn't appear on the Google Home app. Even after performing many troubleshooting steps, the app is not recognizing the camera. I appreciate your effort and time trying to get this solved. No worries; it’s a pleasure to assist you.

In order to gather more details and determine the optimal resolution, please answer the following questions:

  • What is the make and model of your mobile device?
  • What is the version of the Google Home and Nest app?
  • Who is your internet service provider?

I'll look forward to your response.

Best regards,

Daniel
