I subscribe to Nest Aware which allows me to record 24/7 for 45 days of history. I own 4 Nest IQ outdoor cameras that I use ALL the time. I use/subscribe to https:// home.nest.com using my web browser so I can pick any time frame and record, save, and send video clips via text or email.
The Google-Nest second-generation outdoor cams will NOT allow the use of all those functions with Nest Aware on my Mac web browser.
I also own two Nest First generation outdoor wired cams. I need solar panels that will run these cameras on the back of my property.
Question: What solar panels will work with my Nest First generation outdoor wired cams?

For the first gen Google Nest Outdoor Cameras and Google Nest IQ Outdoor Cameras, you need continuous electrical power, since they don't have a battery. How could you do that with a solar panel?

Good question and does that mean I will need a Solar Bank too?

I suppose, though I don't know how you would determine the requirements or whether someone even makes one that's suitable.

Hey everyone,
@apollo97, thanks for reaching out to the Community. I’d be happy to help you with this. Let’s check it out.
The Nest Cam IQ Outdoor isn’t designed to connect to solar panels. It plugs into a standard household power outlet for continuous video streaming and alerts. I’d suggest contacting a Nest Pro installer in your area to check if it’s possible to use a solar panel to continuously energize a power outlet, then connect the camera to that outlet.
I appreciate your help, MplsCustomer.
Best,
Lance
