I recently added 6 Google Nest cameras around my home, and I am extremely pleased with their performance.
I now would like to add a Google Nest doorbell. I do not have doorbell wires from a transformer to attach to. I could use the battery version, but this is on a second home (mostly summer), and I worry about battery performance when I am not there.
If I can get (hide) the battery charging wire to the doorbell, can I keep that plugged in full time? As for the door chime noise, I will be alerted to visitors on my phone but was also thinking I could plug a Google Home Mini somewhere in the house to make the chime noise when someone is at the front door.
Please advise if my thinking is correct.
Thank you.

You could use the OhmKat power supply (https://www.ohmkat.com/collections/compatible-with-nest/products/ohmkat-video-doorbell-power-supply-...).
You could ALSO use the OhmKat chime (https://www.ohmkat.com/collections/compatible-with-nest/products/universal-wireless-video-doorbell-c...).
We've done that with our 1st gen Google Nest Hello Wired Doorbell because there was no doorbell wiring at that entrance.
