When i originally purchased my Battery powered doorbell Google Nest support told me i had to also purchase a google home mini for it to be used as my indoor chime speaker. I did that and it has been working fine until now!? i realized i wasnt getting a chime when people were ringing the doorbell and the app is now telling me that an indoor chime is not compatible with the battery powered version of the doorbell. this is crazy.
Was this caused by an update and if so can i role it back? this is crazy that now after spending the money and doing everything required to have a door bell chime Google randomly deprecates the MOST IMPORTANT FEATURE OF A DOORBELL ( actually chiming inside the house).
Google or Nest needs to explain themselves on this one.

When the battery doorbell is NOT wired, the "Indoor chime" option is disabled because there is no way to ring the indoor chime.
If your doorbell is telling you that "Visitor announcements" are incompatible with the doorbell if it is battery-powered, that's an obvious defect. It would make the battery doorbell incapable of performing as a doorbell when not wired.

And I believe the battery doorbell is being marketed with the Nest Mini.

Give them a call and speak with a Google Nest Tech for this. They are available 24/7. Here is the link to setup the call.
