Nest cam battery on google TV

Hi, I bought a new nest cam battery today and am using with the google home app on iOS. I expected to be able to view the stream or clips on my Sony Google Tv. If I hey google the TV to play it just says it looks like it’s not supported. There is a nest app on the tv but have seen other threads where it says the new camera can’t be added. 

Can the new model nest cam stream to google tv? A recent video promotion for google tv showed nest footage streaming, unless this was old cameras on the nest app.

Hi Warren, 

Yes, that functionality is available for the older, wired models, however, in the context of the new releases, I can see that is likely to cause confusion. I'm glad you are enjoying the other features though and hopefully the functionality will arrive in the future.

So, to clarify regardless of phone OS, Google TV does not support the function of streaming from a battery powered Google Camera???
