My nest doorbell won't retain a charge. This is as I am setting up to use it for the first time.
I took it out of the box and plugged it into a USB charger. It made a noise as it turned on, and the light is pulsing blue, indicating charging.
However, as soon as I remove power, even after charging it for over 2 hours, the light goes out and it will not respond to anything. No buttons do anything, including holding the factory reset button. The factory reset button does work when its on the charger, but doing a factory reset does not help.
Did I get a dud?

Hi there,
Sorry to hear about that. Let's get this sorted out.
A few questions — when and where did you brought the Nest Doorbell (battery) ? Are you using the charging cable that came with it?

Steve
