My new Nest doorbell (battery) isn’t communicating with the Google Home app. I start the app, search for the doorbell (with it plugged in, blue light flashing), but it’s not found. So I manually select “doorbell”, scan the QR code, accept all the guff, and get the message:
”Problem connecting to the cloud. Try again later.”
I’ve hard reset the doorbell a dozen times (yellow flashing light); reset my iPhone 12; switched off and on Bluetooth; checked the app is allowed to use Bluetooth. Nothing. I have numerous devices in my Home app, but this is the first one that won’t work. Help?

I had a similar problem and one day while I was waiting for it to connect and I accidentally hit the door-bell button and WALLA, it instantly connected. I'm not sure if that was it but it might be worth a try.
One other thing: When you say plugged in do you mean via USB? Or are you supplying power via the 2 screws by way of an AC Transformer.

Tried it without any result. Thank you though.
Incidentally, I just set up a new Google Mini using the same iPhone and wi-fi network without any issues. Makes me wonder if the doorbell is faulty?

I contacted Nest chat support and discovered the following:
"I would like to inform you that Google Nest devices only support Gmail or google domain to connect the devices and will not accept the corporate accounts."
So, to make the Nest products work, you must have a Gmail email account (i.e. ending in gmail.com). Disappointing, as I now have to create a new Home group and migrate all my other Google devices over to it.
Hope this helps!
