I have just spent over an hour talking to Google support as I yet again have an issue with their new generation cameras.
First issue, camera would not add to the Home App. Camera was replaced by Google.
Second issue, for some inexplicable reason it no longer has night vision. It used to work but now it doesn’t.
I have 8 old generation NEST cameras which I have had for years with no issues. I buy one new Google camera to add to the others and I have had nothing but issues.
Here are images in exact same location - one from defective Google camera and one from old Nest camera that I have had for years. Both are set to AUTO in night vision.
DO NOT BUY these cameras. I am now going to go on Ebay to see if I can get hold of an old Nest camera.
Google want to send me a replacement but refuse to guarantee that the camera will work. They have refused to give me a refund or compensation.
