Hi everyone,
Was hoping to get some help on notification settings. I recently purchased the nest doorbell so that I know when I receive packages when I'm not home, however I realised that when the doorbell is pressed, it doesn't pop up on my phone at all. I do get a notification that there is a someone there but with so many other notifications that the doorbell sends throughout the day I can't always check my phone each time that occurs. Is there a way to actually alert me on my phone when someone does press the doorbell? Like it vibrates or like a notification that my doorbell has been rung?

I found out how it works. After I clicked the Notification link, at the top there is link "turn on notifications"; I did not see this at first and after I clicked it, I was able to be notified when some pressed the doorbell button. Now I have setup my Hub Max. Thanks,

Hi @Longiie09
There isn’t a special notification that you can have separate from the notifications you’re receiving now. One possible solution is to go into the home and doorbell notification settings and turn off the stuff you don’t want to see, like a vehicle or person seen but keep on the doorbell pressed notification. That way your phone won’t be overloaded with nest notifications and only get the doorbell pressed one.

OMG, GOogle experts you are completely missing the point. It’s not the other NEST notifications we want to distinguish from, it’s our text messages!
A doorbell is completely useless if you can’t hear a doorbell sound. Did you not think of this?

That's a little disappointing. I mean the point of the doorbell is to alert me, especially if someone presses the button. If there is no different kind of notification, I can't exactly distinguish between them all to actually reply when someone is at my door. What's the point if they all look the same? I mean even Ring has different color codes for different notifications. That way if I'm busy and can only glance at my phone, I'll actually know if someone is at the door pressing the doorbell or just passing by...

Hey folks,
Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback on Notifications for the Nest Hello Doorbell. I can definitely understand your frustrations as I am sure I would feel the same when it came to my own notifications. I will collect this feedback and send it forward. I am afraid I do not have any troubleshooting steps to suggest besides what has been stated. Adjusting your settings may help, but in general this feature is not a thing. Please let me know if you need further assistance.
Best Regards,
Brad.

We should also be able to hear the doorbell over our speakers… the thing in our house that makes sound?

We’re having the same problem. I used to get notifications all day long ( we have back garden camera, front camera and doorbell) and never had a problem before , now google and nest have merged I have nothing. Not even when the doorbell rings. All notifications are switched on on my iPhone/watch etc just nothing comes through and can’t seem to find out how to do it.
