Hello,
this last weekend one of our outdoor wired nest cams has suddenly stopped detecting motion and we only get a live view.
Nothing changed. It’s just stopped. We’ve got nest aware subscription and the other camera still fine.
any ideas?

Thank you for bringing up the concern you're experiencing, I would love to look into this further for you. The first troubleshooting step that I'd recommend would be to restart your device. This process should keep all your settings, and reconnect it to the same Wi-Fi network. This is helpful if it ever freezes, has connection problems, or isn't working normally.

@Purpleclare47 how's it going with your Nest Camera? Were you able to restart it? You may also try restarting your WiFi router. In case you have an update, you know where to find us.

Tried absolutely everything to no avail. Contacted Google and they arranged for a replacement and lo and behold a day and a half later the motion detection started working and everything is back to normal. No idea what caused it or why it started recording again.
