You only get 3 hours unless you have an active subscription which you have to pay for. It sounds like your subscription has expired. And if it is a new camera you get 30 days of subscription for free then if you don't buy it then it goes away. To check your subscription go into the Google Home app and click in the upper right corner and select HOME SETTINGS. Then scroll down and select Subscriptions.
