Receive error when adding Nest cameras in Nest App

I have 2 Neat outdoor cameras that I setup on the Nest app on my android device. I upgraded my phone and after setting up my new phone and downloading Nest again, I signed in and my cameras did not appear. When I go to add the cameras by scanning the QR codes I receive an error that the cameras are already registered to an account. However, it’s the same account I’m trying to add them to.
Has anyone come across same issue and knows how to resolve? Is it just the case of resetting the cameras??

You are most likely getting that error because you somehow inadvertently logged onto a different Nest/Google account in the Google Nest app on your new phone.  We've upgraded phones several times.  All you should have to do is to log into the Google Nest app on your new phone with the exact same username and password you were using on your old phone.

Thanks! I’m guessing if I factory reset the camera then I should be able to add again right?

Well, if you're logging on with a different Nest/Google Account, then any Nest Aware subscription you may have will still be attached to your original Nest/Google Account.

If all you've done is upgrade to a new phone, all you should have to do is log into the Google Nest app with the same credentials you were using on your old phone.

Some older 1st gen Google Nest cameras can only be factory reset by deleting them from the Google Nest app while logged onto the original Nest/Google Account.
