Repair Nest Outdoor camera cord

MarinusW

I am trying to repair the power cord for my outdoor camera. A section of the cord from the plug to the USB connecter box was chewed through by a rodent. I cut out the bad piece, which was near the plug fortunately, and connected a new replacement plug I bought from a local hardware store. But I’m not getting any power to the unit. There’s no red or black wires, but I did try switching sides. The new plug is a non-polarized plug just like the original. I’ve checked the outlet for power, and I do not see any other breaks in the cord. Suggestions?

Issue solved. There was a second slice in part of the cord that was initially missed.
