Seperate chime volume for Nest Doorbell (Battery) on Nest Home Hub

Recently installed a Nest Doorbell Battery and Nest Home Hub Max.

The volume of Doorbell chime and announcement on the Home Hub Max is controlled by the overall volume control. So if you are listening to music (or other media) on a low volume and someone presses your doorbell it’s easy to miss. This makes no sense. The chime volume should be separate from the system volume. What if the volume gets turned down as you take a phone call and you forget to turn it back up? Then you have someone standing on your doorstep tuning your doorbell that no none can hear.

We have separate volume control over alarms so why not the same control over the chime?

Please can we get this addressed?

Hi everyone,

@adamroberts, thanks for posting here in the Community. We appreciate your interest however, we don't have any news to share about applying a separate volume control for the Nest Doorbell and the Nest Hub Max to the Nest app or Google Home app. We're always looking for ways to improve and we'll take it as feedback. I'd suggest you send feedback about your concern using this form to let the Google Engineering team know about your concern. While they won't respond directly back to you, this is the best way to let them know about this. Please let me know if you have other questions or concerns as I will be locking this after 24 hours. Feel free to start a new thread and we'll be happy to help.

Best,
Emerson
