Terrifying- 1 AM notification people at door, recording not avail

I got a notification this morning that there were people walking by my side door at 1 AM (it gave me a sample of them), but when I go into the app, it says “no events recorded”. I recently let my Nest Aware subscription lapse because I had the same issues- notifications with no events recorded w/in the same day.

If you do NOT have a Nest Aware subscription, then--for 2nd gen Google Nest cameras and doorbells--then event video history is retained for the most recent 3 hours only.

I can't explain why--when you HAD a Nest Aware subscription--you would get a notification but then see "No events recorded".
