I mounted the Nest Doorbell several months ago. I took it off to charge the doorbell but now I am unable to get the Doorbell to attach to the base plate. I have tried many options with no luck. Help!!!

You might have to resort to contacting Google Nest Support (https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp) for a replacement for your doorbell.

Hello - we have a Nest Battery Doorbell. We have removed and replaced several times to charge so we know how to do that. It still won’t mount on the wall plate.
Thanks -

If you are outside the warranty and can't get a replacement, the device is still usable if you can figure out a DIY mount, or want to resell on ebay or similar it for someone else to figure out. To fool the device into thinking it is mounted, use a small strong flat magnet. When looking at the back of the device, the internal switch area is a bit above and to the right of the wiring screw/hole on the right. Slide the magnet around until you find the right spot, and hear the interior switch click on and see the green light come on and camera functioning. Use a bit of duct tape to keep the magnet from sliding out of place, and then figure a way to mount the device. You can use velcro, zip ties, metal hose clamp, or just shove it in a flower pot, set it on a ledge, etc.
