What is a current manufacture date for a Nest battery doorbell?

We just purchased a new Nest doorbell (battery version), and the MFG date by the barcode is 05/2021. Is this old inventory? What is a current manufacture date for this product?

Will this model have limited functionality compared with models made in 2023/2024? Will the battery be degraded for an unused unit that is almost 3 years old?
