Will Nest Cam with Light be updated to 2k?

With the recent 2k product updates to other products, I’m wondering if the Nest Cam with Light will also receive an update (it’s been a while..). 

Im shopping for a new floodlight can and will look more closely at competitor products (cheaper and have 3k) if there aren’t any updates planned!

I really want to know if Nest Camera Floodlights are being planned for the new 2K sensor as well. The other thing I want to see is Battery options for Doorbells and Outside/Inside Nest Cameras.

I currently have a Nest Camera (Inside/Outside Battery) attached to a 12 foot pole outside my home to have maximum visibility to my property/home. The Camera is attached to a Nest Camera enabled Solar Panel so I don't need to string power to the pole.

Seeing as the camera part of the floodlight has already been updated, it shouldn’t be a stretch.

Please don't abandon the flood lights. I'd love an upgrade kit with 2k camera I can attach to my existing flood light mount. But at very least please sell a full kit with 2k. Otherwise I don't see myself staying in the Google Home ecosystem.

Curious if there are actually any Google staff members who can comment on product roadmap here? 

Or is this just a place for customers to guess at things??

Seriously Google, my interest lies in this product as well. I want to purchase 3 cameras, but this one with floodlight has to be one of them!

I don't think anybody from the Google team is monitoring this community. If they are then they're choosing not to engage. 

I wrote an email to Support with the same question. The reply was confirmation that there are no plans for an updated Nest Cam with Floodlight. 

Disappointing- especially since the current 5 year old tech is the most expensive on the market, by a long shot.
