google nest doorbell - getting power but not ringing indoor bell

My Google Nest (wired) doorbell camera functions perfectly except that it does not ring the interior doorbell. The puck is attached and the Nest is getting power enough to power the camera correctly. The interior doorbell is working for the traditional doorbell on another door, so the bell is functioning.

Any ideas what the problem could be?

@halrood

If you have the 2nd Gen Google Nest Doorbell (wired) (your post says you have the Nest Doorbell [battery]), I've seen several other posts in this forum where customers had either a defective "chime puck" or a defective doorbell that prevented their doorbell chime from working. (I'm assuming you have the "Indoor chime" option turned on.)

thanks - what is the "indoor chime option"?

@halrood

The "Indoor chime" option under Settings in the Google Home app for your 2nd Gen Google Nest Doorbell.

Hi folks,

@halrood, thanks for the follow-up. Have you checked for the chime setting of your Nest Doorbell? If not, you may check this guide to take a look for it.
