I've been told the Nest App is only applicable for older devices and hence been trying to connect my outdoor camera wireless to the phone and wifi.
I have reset it, changed my wifi to be 2.4ghz, have tried using the setup code. there is no QR code on the camera and original box is no longer available, The Google Home just cannot find it. Sometimes, it goes to stage where its asking for the last 4 digits of the serial number, however on that screen there is no option to type anything!
Have Nest Outdoor CAmeras been completely made obsolete and unusable for customers who've had them for years?

If you have the Google Nest Indoor/Outdoor Battery Camera (we've had one since Sept. 2021), it can only be installed in the Google Home app, and while the camera comes with the QR code on a sticker stuck to the face of the camera (which you are advised to put in the camera's Quick Start Guide), you can also install the camera by selecting "Continue without scanning" and entering the 6-character alphanumeric setup code that is printed on the bottom of the camera.
As far as the Google Home app not finding it, was your factory reset (https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9252162) successful? You have to press the factory reset button for at least 12 seconds until you hear a confirmation tone.

Hi @MplsCustomer - many thanks for your guidance. i've tried the reset option too multiple times but to no avail. One thing I didn't mention above is that the camera was setup on GH and after I changed my broadband, it just wouldn't connect. I've tried using different bandwidth options, etc but no joy.
The only way for me to get to the code entry is to bypass the QR code scan and its at this stage it spins and never finds the camera to connect to. I've also even disabled and re-enabled bluetooth as well.
Happy to try anything else.
thanks again

Hi ml17,
Thanks for your post in the community. I understand that you're having issues setting up your Nest Cam (outdoor, battery) after you changed your broadband. It's concerning that during the setup, the Google Home app is either unable to find your camera or fails to provide the field to input the last four digits of the serial number. I appreciate all the efforts you've made to resolve the issue. No worries, help is here!
To better assist you with accurate information, I’d like to confirm the following:
