I have a nest cam connected to my home wifi., monitoring my front door. it is working fine. I would like to move the camera to a new house with no internet access or power., I would like to leave it for ,say one week. then bring it back to my home . Will the camera continue to record at the remote location,storing the events on its internal memory, and can i retrive it at my home.

It should not work given the place you are bringing the cam to have no internet. How will the cam communicate without connectivity.

There is very limited capability for Google Nest cameras to record and upload video when they are offline (not connected to WiFi). This Google Help page documents the limited capability for various cameras:
