new nest outdoor wireless not working with nest app or nest aware

I'm about to throw away all my nest cams and get an Arlo system.  I'm so unhappy with the issues that google has created.  I wish they would've never merged with Nest.  I installed 3 nest cam outdoor and I'm just now finding out that I can't use them on my nest app or my nest aware account.  None of this would be a problem If Google has a decent platform for the camera interface but I'm having trouble with it compared to my old cameras.  I can only look at my older camera data on my MacBook.  I don't get the option of looking at time surrounding the limited partial clips that the new cameras catch.  I feel like I have two different systems and the old one is better than the new.  It seems that Google is unwilling to solve any of these problems from what I keep reading online.  Does anyone know if the Arlo or another system is worth getting?

@scott67

It is true that Google Nest decided that its new cameras and doorbells would work ONLY in the Google Home app and NOT in the Google Nest app or on the home.nest.com website.

However, a Nest Aware subscription covers ALL cameras in the same Google Nest "home/structure" on the same Google Account. But for the newer cameras, we have to view history in the Google Home app (https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/10904254), and the history interface is not nearly as good as in the Google Nest app.

For now, we ARE stuck with having to use 2 different apps to view history, administer accounts, and manage notifications.

In the last month or so, Google Nest has made a beta/preview home.google.com website available for live-streaming ALL cameras, but no history (at least not yet).

Hi there,

Thank you for your feedback on this, I fully understand the frustrations of not having your new Nest cams in the Nest app like you may be used too. However, you can now use the Google Home web app to view your cameras and doorbells. I appreciate your help on this one, @MplsCustomer

The new Nest cameras and doorbell are exclusive to the home app because we wanted to create an integrated experience with your speakers and displays. A Nest Aware subscription applies to all of your cameras, speakers, and displays in the same home structure. Thank you for your continued patience, and support.

Best regards,

Brad
