questions re: outdoor cameras

Hello, 

We are in the middle of installing an outdoor cam and figured why not go with Nest. Previously we had Rogers and were not at all happy with the service.   We currently have the indoor camera,  doorbell, and google speakers in all the sizes.  We were wondering how user friendly they are.  We are not looking for a hard drive just being able to access from our android phones either at home or when away.  We want good quality pics and most likely will be installing 2 of them.

Do they plug in and run through regular wifi ??

We have subscription for other next products so will likely I'm assuming be added to that .

Any help or suggestions are truly welcome.
