"Something Went Wrong" Nest Camera Doorbell (battery) and Camera (wired)

We recently switched to Google Fiber and re-added our devices onto the network except our Google Nest Doorbell (battery) and Google Camera (wired) will not connect through the app. Our old camera, which uses the old nest app, was able to connect just fine. We keep getting the "Something Went Wrong" screen everytime.

Any help?

Hi @bfrancese,

Thanks for posting here in the community. I'm sorry to hear your Nest Doorbell (battery) and Nest Cam (wired) won't connect through the app after switching to Google Fiber, and you're consistently getting an error message. I'm happy to help!

To better understand the situation, I'd like to ask a question:

  • For the Google Nest Cam (wired), it seems you have the Nest Cam (wired, 2nd gen). Could you confirm the exact model you have?

In the meantime, let's check the following:

Keep me posted.

Regards,

Melany

The doorbell is working now after a factory reset (I didn't hold the paperclip on the button long enough the first time around). The wired indoor camera model is: GJQ9T

After full restart + factory reset both cameras now work.
