setting up doorbell

 Problem setting up my google nest doorbell. It´s a new device and this message appear, Help please I´ve tried everything and is not working.

Thanks for visiting the Community. I’m sorry to hear that and for the delayed response here. Let’s get this sorted — a few questions: what’s the status light of your Nest Doorbell (battery)? Do you have an Android or iPhone? How far is the camera from the router? Are there devices or appliances (such as baby monitors, microwaves, cordless phones, etc.) near the camera? Also, what WiFi frequency band do you try to connect to (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz)?

 

Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

 

  • Close all the apps running in the background of your phone, reopen the Google Home app then try adding your Nest doorbell again.
  • Bring your phone closer to your Nest doorbell within 10 to 12 inches.
  • Restart your modem or router. Unplug it from the power outlet, wait for 1 to 2 minutes then plug it back in.
  • If those steps still don’t work, factory reset your Nest doorbell.
