I control the volume of my Yamaha RX-A2A receiver with my Chromecast with Google TV through CEC. Recently, one tap of the side volume button changes the volume of the receiver a random amount. One tap used to equal .5db, now it's anywhere from 4-6 whole db. This doesn't coincide with any updates to the receiver. Ive rebooted everything and the remote has fresh batteries. There haven't been any changes to my setup. The CC HDMI is plugged into the receiver. The only time this happens is when controlling the volume thru the CC. The only thing I'm not sure of is when the CC did a software update because google doesn't let us know that kind of stuff. Cast firmware: 1.61.329909

Hey there angrycatmeow,
It is pretty strange how the remote is increasing the volume of your receiver so much. Go ahead and give these troubleshooting steps a try to see if we can rule out the remote as a potential issue:
I look forward to your response, and if you have any other questions or concerns for me, please let me know.
Best regards,
Jeran

I tried controlling the receivers volume through CEC using the TV's remote instead of the CC's and it works just fine. So this is definitely related to the CC and the remote specifically, because if I use the CC"s remote app built into Google TV I don't get the same behavior.

Hey there angrycatmeow,
That's no good to hear; there may need to be future firmware updates that help with this issue. If you don't mind, would you be able to recreate the issue and then submit feedback via Google TV? That way, if any errors are generated in your device logs, they will be sent directly to the engineering team to look into.
Best regards,
Jeran
