Can’t turn off Captions using Google TV app to watch a movie

I’m unable to turn off captions on Google TV while watching movies. Captions are not turned on and are not showing up on any other apps using my Google TV device such as Netflix, Hulu, HBO, and are not turned on for my Samsung TV itself. Under Google TV app settings they are marked as “off”. 

How do I figured out where to turn them off?

Thanks for reaching out. Please be advised that caption preferences might not apply to certain apps and some individual content may not support closed captioning. Try the steps below:

1. From the Google TV home screen, in the top right, go to the user profile icon and select Settings.
2. Select System > Accessibility.
3. Select Captions.
4. Turn on/off Display to show captions. Then choose your options.

@JenniferV thank you for your response! That was exactly it. Silly mistake on my end figuring out how Third Party Apps vs. Google TV device vs. Samsung TV have captions set up.
