My chromecast remote won't work and keeps the white light always on. I tried changing batteries, updating it, using google tv to reset it, everything. I've even tried three different brand of batteries and nothing works. This is getting annoying, any ideas on what to do?

This happened to me today as well. I've tried new batteries, holding the Home button, holding Home + Back, nothing. The light now stays on, this all started because the Left button on the wheel stopped working. After the initial reset the white light just stays on.

Same issue here. Even got a replacement remote and that doesn’t work either.

BenWhite and AAAAAAAAA, aside from resetting the Voice remote, could you also perform a factory reset on your Chromecast with Google TV 4K dongle? Here's a guide: How to factory reset your Chromecast.
Bgollnick, what's the LED status on your Voice Remote? Are you getting any messages when pairing it to your Chromecast with Google TV (4K)? Could you please press the button on the Chromecast with Google TV (4K) for one second to start to pair? For additional steps, check out this support website article.
