ChromeCast TV -> AVR -> TV - auto changes resolution after the new update to android 12

I love the device, but after it got updated to the new android 12  I have this issue.

My device is going trough my AVR (Onkyo) to my TV. this have never been a problem before

I set the Chromecast to 4k 60hz. it works.

I turn of my setup and start next day, and its back in 1080 60HZ.
I have to do this every day 😞

I guess its a handshake about resolution that dont go correctly. or the Chromecast is to impatient for the whole setup to start and negotiate..

Hey there tdaxel,

That is an interesting situation, it does sound like there may be some kind of handshake issue. Does the problem still occur when you change the HDMI port that the Chromecast is plugged into on the AVR? Then, are you able to see if any other settings you change also revert when you power off the Chromecast? I'm curious to see if the Chromecast is retaining any changes in its settings, or if it is just isolated to the resolution settings. Also, just to be safe, make sure your Chromecast is up-to-date on its updates.

I look forward to your response, and if you have any other questions or concerns for me, please let me know!

Best regards,
Jeran
