I plugged in the Chromecast Google TV HDMI to my LG projector and did the set up. While it is able to cast all the Apps, the Google TV remote does not allow me to switch on and off the projector power. Tried adding the device and setting up the power controls. It does not recognize the projector power.
Any suggestions?

Enable HDMI CEC protocol both on the Chromecast device and the projector and set the Chromecast remote power button to use CEC.

Tried it but it says the projector is not recognized

Hey folks,
Thanks for answering, djtetei!
@PKS, although there are devices that we can use to set up for CCGTV like in your case, you were able to set it up with your projector, however it isn't pairable/compatible with the Voice Remote. We'll take this as feedback as we are always looking for ways to improve our products and features.
Thanks,
Jennifer

If i remember correctly, LG uses its own name, Simplink, for the HDMI CEC protocol. You have to enable it and also you have to activate auto switch off.

Tried. I keep getting this message. “It looks like the Google TV remote cannot control the power on this device”

Well, if it can't, it can't.
