Hi All,
I can't seem to get my Chromecat remote to connect to the Chromecast.
I tried everything from the threads posted on Reddit and here. But No luck. Things I have tried.
1. Replaced with a new pair of batteries.
2. Press and hold the two buttons to put the remote in pairing mode doesn't work. I am not sure what's causing this.
3. I tried resetting the Chromecast, but that has worsened the problem. There is no way to set up the Chromecast using an Android phone (two different phones).
4. I Switched the TV and tried all the above again, but still no luck.
Is there something I am missing? Why do I need a remote to connect my phone to the Chromecast? Isn't it pointless to only take inputs from a remote to set up a device?
TV Model: LG CX
Mobile: Samsung Fold3 and Note10+

Hi folks,
Thanks for posting and for being a step ahead of us. You can try to do a factory reset on the Chromecast Voice remote. Let me know how it goes.

I have tried that already. Sorry didn't mention it clearly in the steps I have tried.
I wonder what is causing this, and why can't I use my phone instead to carry on with the setup?

Hi Kimy,
Thanks for a prompt reply. I'm sorry to say that didn't work either. After following all the steps when I connect the batteries the light pulses twice and didn't go in pairing mode with the two buttons ccombo. I am clueless what else I could do?
