Chromecast With Google TV Flickering, Black Screen, Forced to Unplug To Reset

I purchased the Chromecast with Google TV in December 2020 and over the past 3 months with increasing frequency over time my device has been experiencing random flickering and display issues watching ANY content randomly during the week. It probably happens 2-3x a week now and is becoming worse over time. Is there a warranty center I should contact or any other ideas?

I apologize about the late response, thank you for being patient! Were you able to fix that flickering issue? If not, I'd be happy to help out, let me just ask you some questions about what's happening:

  • What make and model of TV do you have?
  • Have you changed the HDMI port you are using on the TV?
  • Have you changed the outlet you've plugged the Chromecast into?
  • What LED light color does the Chromecast emit?
  • What troubleshooting steps have you already tried?

I was able to fix it by plugging it into a different HDMI port, luckily it hasn't happened since. Thanks!
