Chromecast remote right button stopped working

Just today the right button on my remote stopped working - left/up/down on the wheel are still fine. Unfortunately as you can imagine, if you can't scroll right the remote's pretty unusable.

I checked my purchase history and I ordered it just under a year ago - literally tomorrow. Can I get this serviced/replaced? (I already tried re-pairing, rebooting the Chromecast, etc. - none of that fixed it)

Well you say that...but:

  1. There's no serial number on the remote.
  2. The claim site won't accept the chromecast's serial #
  3. The store order history seems to only work for Nest accounts, which we don't have

Am I missing something?

Turns out I was accidentally following the link to the 'extended protection plan' claim - I'm able to progress now that I found the right path.

We were able to RMA the Chromecast and the replacement arrived yesterday, so yes you can close this thread. Thanks!
