So I have an older Samsung receiver that my Chromecast remote can't control. Is there anything I can do to put a code in or something? Is there a learn function?

Fu2, have you already tried setting up the buttons on your Voice Remote? If you haven't yet, please check this support website article to see the steps. If still unsuccessful, you may reach out to your Receiver manufacturer to check the compatibility of the device.
ADAD, I'm sorry to hear that you're also having an issue with your Voice Remote. May I know the brand of your receiver? Please try to remove and re add your receiver under the Remote and Accessories setting in the Google TV and try to plug in your Chromecast into a different HDMI port on your receiver. Plugging in the Chromecast with Google TV directly on a TV screen instead of the receiver to isolate the issue and rebooting it might also help.

Hi JenniferV. Mine is a Yamaha RX-V750. The chromecast voice remote used to work great with it. But after an update to the remote, the volume only works if I press multiple times. I’ve already tried all of your suggestions.

Thanks for getting back to us. Could you please try to reboot your receiver and Chromecast? If the issue still persists, please perform a factory reset on your Chromecast and Voice Remote. You may also try reaching out to your receiver manufacturer to check for firmware updates for your device.
