I removed the Disney app from my new Google Chromecast with Google TV, but for 3 days now there has been a Chippendales ad covering 1/3 of the top of the screen on the main boot page. This is a device I bought for my children to access kids content. Why am I even having to ask you to clear this off? Please keep tabs on what reputation Disney may be giving your device with the forced ad hinting at sexual content.

Welcome to the New Woke Disney. Us and friends have deleted all Disney content & will Never visit any parks or purchase merchandise!!

Agreed. I LOVE my Google TV/Chromecast device, but I don't really care for this to be the ad that greets young children who use the device -- even if it seems semi-innocuous. Once Disney is allowed to get away with this, they will push it further. That is literally the definition of grooming.

It's OK for them to have this type of ad within their own app (where we can choose to remove the app, not use their service, and not see it). I purchased this Google device and would hope Google would rethink their partnership with Disney, or at least what is allowed to be displayed for ALL people to see as a part of the Google TV main page. May I suggest, at minimum, a button to remove an ad we deem offensive or inappropriate for young eyes? As I mentioned, simply removing the Disney+ app doesn't get rid of this add. It's been up for 3 days.

Hi @Parksanim
Did you disable the service in the list of services you are using?
Check out THIS link for more information.

Yes but I already tried that immediately yesterday, as well as removed the Disney+ app, but the ad still appeared yesterday and today.

Thank you for helping out, RXShorty!
Hey there Parksanim,
In this scenario, you may want to enable Apps only mode. Here is how to do so:
Check out the article I linked above for some more info on hiding personalized recommendations.
Best regards,
Jeran

That does nothing to the big ads... ads are still there. it appears I lose a lot of functionality which I purchased the device for:
"This will hide Google's recommendations from your home screen along
with your ability to give feedback on movies or shows, or add them to your watchlist. Previously purchased titles from Google Play will not be accessible but can be cast from your phone from the Google TV or YouTube mobile app. You can access all the apps installed on the device, and non-personalized, featured content will still be shown on your home screen. Search and the Google Assistant will be disabled in this mode Apps can continue to show personalized recommendations and track watch history, including YouTube, YouTube TV, and other Google apps
Privacy settings are not affected. Adjust privacy settings in Settings ->"

On another note, I have now been hit with this from all of my devices after my complaint here. I can no longer buy anything from Google TV or Google Play movies. Error Retrieving information from the server. DF-DFERH-01. Maybe I angered someone with this thread and have been "canceled"? Contacted Google chat and they had no solution after full factory reset did not fix it. Left message for Chromecast help and neither did they. Makes me wonder if I have been targeted. Workaround to rent movies is via YouTube on my phone, and then I can play them or cast after buying. But then what becomes the point of this Google TV device over the old Chromecast?
