Google Chromecast & DishAnywhere app issue HELP

I have a fairly new Google Chromecast with google TV dongle.  I also have an updated Dish Anywhere app installed.

The problem is that when I use the DA app to view my DVR recordings, I cannot scroll left to right once I choose a recording.  For example, let's say I choose a recorded TV series where I might have 8 episodes recorded.  If I try to use the navigation circle to navigate to the left or right it usually moves one episode, sometimes two, left or right (doesn't matter) then the navigation to the left or right does not work.  This happens on any recorded shows where there are multiple episodes. 

I've restarted the dongle, no luck.  I've removed/re-added Dishanywhere app, no luck.  I've made sure there are no updates for the Chromecast dongle or the app.

I also have two ONN (chromecast clones) dongles. Both of them work flawlessly with the Dish Anywhere app and the navigation circle  moves through the episode list fine. I should also mention the layout on the ONN dongles look exactly like the Google Chromecast.

So is the problem likely with the Google Chromecast vs DishAnywhere app?  If that is a possibility, how would I even begin to report this issue with Google?

Thanks for posting and for being a step ahead of us. We’re sorry for the trouble, and this is not the experience that we wanted you to have. Based on your description, it seems that this is isolated to the Dish Anywhere app. If the remote can navigate freely throughout the entire Google TV home screen and other apps, then there’s nothing wrong with it. Since you’ve already tried to troubleshoot the app, this must have something to do with the coding in the app itself. Some of the app developers had already anticipated this and advanced their coding for an installable app on the Google TV platform. It’s best that you contact Dish for further help.

Thanks for the interest.  But, with your logic, the same download from the Google Play store works on my ONN streaming devices.  After all, this is a true Google ecosystem where I'm having the issue (ie: Chromecast dongle, and the app from the Play store)

I would understand more if the issue happened on my ONN devices and not Chromecast but it's the opposite.

Thanks for the reply. Walmart Onn Box, Nvidia Shield TV, Nokia Streaming Box, and Mediabox Maverick are some of the examples of devices running on (full) Android TV platform. If you want, you can do a full clean-up by performing a factory reset and setting it up from scratch to remove any corrupted files or data. But if it persists, then it’s best to contact Dish about it, especially if all apps are working on your device except for this app. Let us know how it goes.

I've done the factory reset and resetting up from scratch.

As far as contacting Dish, I'd rather take a beating than try to speak to anyone there with any intelligence.
