My institution requires devices like Chromecast to connect to a separate, special network instead of the the one I normally use. I have connected my phone to that same network. My Chromecast is working perfectly and indicates it is connected to the right network (it has the same Home Screen as it did when I connected it at my house, except it appears to be stuck in guest mode). However, the Google Home app says it’s not connected to the same network as my phone and, thus, I can’t cast anything or change any device settings.
