When pressing the TV input selector button on my chromecast remote control I get a list of available TV input sources on my philips TV. That is expected. The problem is that I cannot travers the visible list and select the wanted input. Pressning the navigation control will not move the cursor on that input list. Instead the navigation still controls the underlying background and not the philips on screen display.
Is there a workaround or a planned fix to this problem?

Keep pressing that input button rather than try to use the arrows.
On my TV, the first press brings up the input list but the second and third press of the input button cause my TV to move between the selections. Once I stop pushing, my TV auto-selects whatever I stopped on.
Give it a try and tell us if that works for you.

Thanks for your advice!
Unfortunately the procedure described does not work on my TV set. I have a Philips 40PFL6626T/12.
Whenever I press the input button, it toggles between opening and closing the input selection list. Pressing any other button has no affect on the input selection list.

Hiya Peter12345,
No problem at all! As a workaround, try setting your Chromecast Voice Remote to use IR instead of HDMI-CEC, to see if that has any difference in the selection. Here is how to find those settings:
Let me know if you have any more questions.
Best regards,
Jeran
