Hi kegvader,

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community. Based on your description, it seems that the Chromecast device is working as intended, or else the HDR10+ won’t work on any app at all. The fact that only one app can’t seem to utilize the HDR10+ feature of the device could be related to coding that needs to be corrected. I suggest you contact Hulu about this and inform them that all other apps in your Chromecast with Google TV are playing HDR10+ capable content. It could all be just the settings in the Hulu app, for all we know.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Kimy

Hello kegvader,

Thanks for the reply. So you found the solution within the settings. You finally changed it, as it was set to standard. I’m glad that this has been sorted out. Let us know if you have other questions or concerns.

Cheers,

Kimy

No not the solution I just discovered that my version of hulu is standard.   That app is not hdr10 plus version   But all other apps are so I guess it’s up to hulu to release it for the chromecast

Hi kegvader,

Understood! So it’s a limitation of the app itself. I suggest you send feedback directly to the app. Hopefully, they upgrade to a version that can have such features. Let us know if you have other concerns related to your Chromecast device.

Warmly,

Kimy
