IP Configuration Failure - Chromecast

My chromecast won't connect to WiFi. I keep getting "IP configuration failure".

 

Chromecast in other room works fine.

A few questions: what type of Chromecast device do you have? What's the LED status on your Chromecast? Is this an initial set up or working previously?

 

Give these steps a try:

 

  1. Reboot your Chromecast, Wi-Fi router, and mobile phone.
  2. Uninstall and reinstall the Google Home app.
  3. Use a different mobile device.
  4. Factory reset your Chromecast. Here's a guide: How to factory reset your Chromecast.
