Is it possible to change the "dealy time" before Ambient mode starts?

I have finally killed cable and now subscribe to Google TV. However if I am watching live TV and pause it at a commercial break to start getting some buffer, if I wait too long then ambient mode kicks in and if I go back to my show the buffer is gone.

Hi WHY-Dave,

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community. The time displayed is real-time based on your location. You can go to Settings > System > Ambient mode > Time, and from here you can hide or show it. The Ambient mode kicks in if it goes idle for about 10 minutes.

Let me know if you have further questions.

Thanks,

Kimy

Thanks for your reply! Your answer appears to address "what time shows on the Ambient mode screen?". My question was actually "Is it possible to change the amount of time before ambient mode kicks in?".

Anybody know if it is possible to increase the amount of time that my TV can be idle before ambient mode kicks in?

Hi there,

Thanks for clarifying. As per delaying the activation of the Ambient mode, it’s not available, unfortunately. This feature is not supported. Our team is working hard to deliver the best experience for our users — we'll take this as feedback. Keep an eye on the Google Nest Community page for any updates.

Please let me know if you have other questions or concerns, as I will be locking this in 24 hours if I don't hear back from you again. Feel free to start a new thread, and we'll be happy to help.

Regards,

Kimy
