It’s December 24 and the “Continue watching” hiding issue is still unfixed

I am unable to hide individual shows from the continue watching category.  I click “hide”, they disappear momentarily, then pop right back up.  The only thing that fixes the problem is uninstalling the streaming app itself, which then means I can’t watch what is on that app.  I’ve tried restarting both Chromecasts (I own 2), and the problem persists. It seems to affect all the apps. I see from the other threads that this problem has persisted since 2021??  C’mon Google, this is kinda ridiculous.

Thanks for reaching out and I'm sorry to hear about that. Have you tried to reset your Chromecast with Google TV (4K) and check if the same issue persists?
