I purchased a movie from Google Play Store on Chromecast with Google TV. It works fine initially. However, when I tried to play it again, it says "there was an error". I didn't have a problem playing the same movie on my iPad.
I have tried to clear cache for Play Store, get a system update, and factory reset, and it still doesn't work.
This appears to be a firmware issue for Chromecast with Google TV.
Google: PLEASE FIX THIS! The only reason I purchased the movie was such that I can watch it on a big screen instead of a 12.9 inch screen. Pretty disappointing that a Google product has compatibility issues with content purchased from Google Play Store.

Hey there theorb,
I apologize about the late response on this thread, thank you for being patient! Were you able to fix that Google Play issue? If not, I'd be happy to help out, as I know I'd be pretty bummed out if the movie I bought didn't work properly. Just to double-check, is your Chromecast with Google TV's firmware up-to-date? I would also encourage you to clear out the cached app data on the Google Play app.
I look forward to your response, and if you have any other questions or concerns for me, please let me know!
Best regards,
Jeran
