Hi.
I would like to confirm that I have what seems like an identical issue as this post: https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Chromecast/GoogleTV-soundbar-volume-control-via-IR-not-workin...
When using the remote control for my chromecast with Google TV with the second option for Polk Audio volume control, the speaker continues to raise or lower the volume after the button has been released.
This also happens even when I cover the IR sender or remove the remote from the area. It basically just seems that the code triggers some "glitch" in the speaker. If possible, please let me know if I can send you the correct IR codes in some form, preferrably Base64

Hello Thostaka,
Thanks for reaching out. Have you already tried to remove and re-add your Polk Audio soundbar and check if the same issue persists? If you haven't yet, please try that. Also, reset your Chromecast with Google TV and plug it into a different HDMI port on your TV.
Best,
Jennifer

Hi, Jennifer. Thanks for following up. Yes, I have reset the Chromecast and re-added the soundbar several times. I also tried the IR codes that came after the one I added first (number 2 of 4), but the only other one that responded could only turn the volume down, not up.

Hello there,
I'm sorry for the late response. Have you tried reaching out to Polk support and check if this specific soundbar is compatible to use with the Chromecast Voice Remote? If you haven't yet, please try that and keep me posted.
Thanks,
Jennifer

Hi, Jennifer.
I don't quite agree that this is relevant for Polk support as this is just a question of which IR signal are sent by the remote. There are no other protocols involved. As long as the Chromecast Voice Remote is programmed to send the correct IR signal to the soundbar, the soundbar will respond correctly.
When I compare the IR signals sent by the original remote with the signal from Chromecast Voice Remote, the codes are "wildly" different, so this issue can probably be solved by adding the correct codes to the firmware. I will, however contact Polk support in parallel to see if this is an issue they are aware of.
Below, I have added the IR codes sent for volume up from Chromecast and Polk remotes.

Hi Thostaka,
I'm sorry for the delayed reply. You've mentioned in your previous response that you will contact your soundbar manufacturer, how was it?
