chromecast audio - turning on/off question

Hi there,

I have a soundbar without television (and thus no HDMI), I am currently connecting with bluetooth on my phone or laptop to play music, however, I have to manually turn on the speaker, connect, and then play my music. If I forget to play something, the speaker will turn off and I have to reconnect. I believe this works as intended.

I  was looking to resolve my problem with a chromecast audio, and the quesiton I cant seem to answer is: will the chromecast audio be able to turn my soundbar (without tv/hdmi) on and off if I cast it?

The speaker is JBL 2.0 ALL-IN-1.

You need a HDMI connection to be able to control the soundbar via the CEC (Consumer Electronics Control) protocol.
