Can we just get a "delete/remove device" option?

I had a problem where my smart lights were not working with my Google Home setup. I reset the lights and got them working again - only now they're listed twice in my Google Home account, one where they work and one where they're "not responding" - and there seems to be no way for me to remove the non-responsive ones. I can't for the life of me understand why there's no button to just allow me to remove/delete a device.

You might have to do it with whatever app your smart lights use. I have my Gosund smart bulbs so I have to manage devices there. Google won't let me delete (it only has the option to unlink gosund) those devices on the Google home app, but I can on the gosund app and then Google updates my devices from there.

Hi! I saw your response and I appreciate that you’ll consider it in a future update, but it doesn’t solve my problem right now - which is that I have a bunch of unresponsive lights in my Google Home that I can not remove.

Hey there,

Have you tried to delete the household entirely and create a new household with the devices that you use?

I would suggest that and in the meantime I'm happy to take the feedback and pass it forward.

Best regards,

Garrett DS

I have not tried that. I’ve thought about it but it seems like a hassle - I have dozens of devices (mostly lights) linked up and creating a new home is what broke the Philips Hue lights in the first place. I just got them working again so I’d rather deal with the inconvenience of having defunct devices in my home than risk unlinking the lights again.
